Bobbie Brewster and Daryl Judy listed our home for sale in December. In January, it was under contract after receiving multiple bids for considerably more than the list price. In March, the corona virus hit the US. We closed in May at a time when many other real estate transactions faltered due to the pandemic. That should say it all, but none of this could have happened without the breath of knowledge, expertise and tireless efforts of Bobbie and Daryl. In particular, Bobbie's background as an architectural historian was vital to marketing our 140-year-old home—a former embassy. We can't thank Bobbie and Daryl enough.
We finally decided to sell our home in Kalorama and we were so very glad you were there to see us through it. We have watched your work in the neighborhood over the years and had no hesitation in asking you to represent us.
It turned out to be a good decision because you made it an effortless transition for us. We marveled at the orderly process we experienced throughout and know it was the depth of experience, competence, and attention to all the details that accomplished such a superb result for us. Watching you market and prepare the house for market was nothing short of amazing. You coached us on presentation, brought in WFP pricing experts to confirm the price, arranged for stunning photographs to be taken for the brochures and the Internet, and prepared for the first Open House.
We were astonished and pleased by the end of the weekend ¡ª multiple offers, which resulted in our house selling immediately for well over the listed price. Can¡¯t ask for better than that! As a result of your market knowledge, negotiating skills, and the never-failing focus you gave to our house, we experienced both speed and surprising success in selling it.
We heartily recommend you to both our neighbors and friends for your cheerful and competent work and will continue to do so.
Gratefully, R. A.ª±
It was lovely to see you again - I have always been grateful for the way you were so generous with your time and expertise. You helped me get a great deal that I never thought was possible, by getting
me in early to a foreclosure. Thanks to you I got the house for less than the seller had paid for it!
And you spent so many hours showing me other places for months before that, tireless and patient when faced with someone who obviously wasn't sure what they wanted!
I have told many friends about your work and your kindness, and have just done a Zillow review for you to share with more people who hopefully will become your clients.
All the very best and many thanks again for everything.
Bobbie represented me as a buyer and was a real pleasure to work with. Her temperament may not seem like it, but she is highly strategic, and this translates into someone that is looking out for your interests and will work very hard to ensure that you prevail. Bobbie understands the needs of the current buyer — and in my case, someone that travels a lot. That first night she walked me through every component of the necessary documentation until past 1:00 AM while we were both on the phone, and when I returned to DC, she met with me late in the evening in person.
Bobbie made the entire deal easy. She also comes equipped with a network of additional contacts, when I needed an inspection, it happened the next day. When we needed an estimate on some major plumbing work, it happened immediately. She even introduced me to the mortgage broker. Her referral was able to get me a better loan. In summary, when working with Bobbie, you feel confident that she is going to help, and that she will remove all of the obstacles between you and the home you want.
Oh, and one final thing: After our offer was approved, she gets very excited about DC architecture, so she continued doing further research on the house, and sent me additional information that the seller did not seem to know, since it was not found in any of the listing information!
Bobbie was effective as well as a pleasure to work with. In addition to being quite knowledgeable about the DC market, she was responsive and very accommodating to our busy schedules. Her expertise and fast action led to a quick success for us!
When my husband and I began to look for a home in the Georgetown/Kalorama area, we did not have an agent and were fortunate to meet Bobbie Brewster at an open house. We quickly linked up with her. Bobbie has a wealth of experience and met all of our real estate needs with humor, integrity and patience. Bobbie has many contacts in Northwest DC and was often able to give us advance notice of desirable homes. I recommend Bobbie highly for anyone wishing to buy a home in Northwest DC. She became not just our agent, but also a good friend.
We were so impressed by Bobbie Brewster's deep knowledge and appreciation for the architecture and neighborhoods of Washington, DC. Bobbie was always available for us and always patient as we navigated the competitive DC real estate scene. Through her savvy and connections, she found our new home for us off-market, and we are so excited to be moving into our dream house!
As Dick and I settle into our new home in Pittsburgh, I wanted you to know of the superior service provided to us by your colleague, Bobbie Brewster, in connection with the sale of our apartment #405 at 2540 Massachusetts Avenue, NW.
Form our first encounter with her, Bobbie was thoroughly professional and knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the sale of a cooperative apartment. She kept us in informed and responded promptly to our questions. In short, Bobbie was most helpful in navigating all aspects of this transaction.
We write so that you are aware of the successful conclusion of this sale and our gratitude to Bobbie Brewster of Washington Fine Properties.
Dick joins me in thanking you for your skill and understanding during these past months. All along your advice was excellent, and you made complicated matters seem simple. The final price was good and fair — for this we are most grateful.
Thank you for all of your hard work and attention on the sale of our house and home of 42 years. You have done a wonderful job.
With gratitude and affection,
This is definitely not good-bye but our deepest thanks for ALL that you have done. We have adored being your friend, neighbor, and client. Thank you for all your patience and wisdom.
I wanted to send you our heartfelt thanks for the very competent and exceptional help you provided us in finding a terrific house in Washington, DC. We had come from out of town with limited time. You took all the time to show us multiple options in such a short time. You were always available to us. I remember calling you close to 10 pm in the evening. You answered every phone call and at any hour. You patiently took time to educate us about the Washington, DC, neighborhoods and the real estate market there. You introduced us to a very professional architect who met with us on a Sunday and who arranged to make quick drawings to give us ideas as to how we could develop that older house into a modern one. With all your expertise, we were able to get answers to the multiple questions in our mind in a very short time and were able to successfully buy the house.
Your help after the contract was also very helpful. We were out of town, and my wife was not able to make it for the closing. You walked us through all the details for the closing transaction and made all arrangements for the closing to go smoothly. We could do all this long-distance with your help without any stress or hitch.
It was indeed a pleasure to have met you and Hadley and transacted business with you. I am very grateful for your help.
This is to express appreciation from our Embassy in Washington, DC, for the excellent work you and Washington Fine Properties did in our efforts for searching a property for our Cultural Wing in Washington, DC. You showed us a number of properties out of which we were able to buy one at U Street NW, Washington, DC. It was a pleasure working with you, and we appreciate the professionalism demonstrated by you and your company.
I wish you the very best in your future endeavors and hope to work with you again in the future.
What a year — we're so very glad you were there to see us through it. Careers created many moves in and out of DC for us, and, over the years, we've owned a half dozen houses in the District. You have now seen us into our seventh, and it was the most effortless transition of them all — on both the buy and sell end of the transactions.
We've marveled at the smooth process we experienced throughout and know it reflects the depth of your experience, competence, and your attention to all details. Whether large, small, recurring, unique or specific to individuals in the transaction, you took note and factored those details into accomplishing a smooth and expedient purchase for us as sellers and as buyers.
Watching you market our property was nothing short of amazing. You coached us clearly on presentation, pricing and did a masterful job marketing it. We were astounded at the number of visitors and bids your work generated — and they were profitable for us, too. Can't ask for more.
As a result of your long career, never-faltering focus and the "can do" approach you and Hadley bring to your work, we experienced the ultimate in professional competence, success and speed on both our selling and buying transactions, have heartily recommended you to our sons now in the market and will continue to recommend you to family and friends.
I am pleased to recommend Bobbie Brewster as a reputable and excellent agent for the sale of your embassy properties. There are many agents in Washington, but none as gracious and thorough as Bobbie.
More so, Bobbie is extremely knowledgeable about the Washington metropolitan real estate market. In fact, she showed me the perfect townhouse in Georgetown before it ever went on the public market. Her networking style proved to be crucial because I was able to make the purchase without a bidding war, which can be sizable in the competitive Georgetown market. I saw the house on Friday, put in a bid that afternoon with Bobbie's guidance, and received a contract on Sunday. I was in my house within 10 days and am very happy.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I recommend Bobbie Brewster at Washington Fine Properties without hesitation.
I want to express my personal appreciation and that of the Embassy in Washington for the tremendous job you and WFP have done in marketing and selling the former Embassy building in Kalorama. In fact, and to your credit, you were able to gather five qualified buyers and keep their offers on the table until a final decision was made. Thanks to your efforts, we managed to come to a very satisfactory outcome at the end of the process. Equally appreciated were your regular and thorough reports on the sales progress, which were important for our home government to accompany the sales process, and the number of visits you have arranged to the house. The personal and internet traffic were, indeed, impressive.
This was a partnership that worked for all parties involved. It was a pleasure and a privilege to have worked with you in this project.
Thank you so very much for the beautiful orchid you brought over. If it weren't for you there wouldn't be the reason. And I love it. I have so enjoyed working with you and hope it's just the beginning of a new and long friendship. My husband and I are grateful and thankful to you for finding our beautiful home. I look forward to a proper visit with you when it is sans boxes! Let's just make a date to meet soon to catch up. You are a true professional and inspiration!
