Liz sold our house in Chevy Chase Village in record time at the exact price we had discussed from the day we met. We loved working with Liz, who is one of the most knowledgeable realtors we've ever known, and possesses a deep expertise with sales in the Village. Liz knows the comps perfectly, is strategic and thoughtful, and is wise/assertive/smart in contract negotiations. She was patient and open to our ideas, while always being willing to share her expertise and recommendations in a professional and helpful manner. We could not have had a better experience working with Liz, and we most enthusiastically recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
It was a pleasure to work with Liz to sell a family home in Foxhall Crescents. She was creative, always steady, had excellent judgment and advice, and was patient and understanding of the emotional aspects involved in any real estate deal. The sale ended up being very complicated, as it actually involved three different transactions, and occurred during the pandemic. I feel certain that not every broker could have pulled it off and was grateful that I had Liz in my corner representing me.
As first-time home buyers, we were so thankful to be connected with Liz. She helped us find our perfect home, submit an extremely competitive bid, and close on the home — all during the uncertain times set forth by the Covid-19 lockdown. From early on in our home-buying process, we felt that Liz understood our vision for our new home, as well as the constraints that we conveyed. Her approach is very collaborative — there was an open line of communication between us and we felt comfortable sharing our feelings and opinions about listings brought to our attention. Her feedback was always constructive and well-informed. When we toured houses together, Liz demonstrated a sharp eye for important property details, and we always felt very comfortable and well-received during our tours, as Liz knows many agents and listings in the area. And when the time came to submit a bid, Liz helped us move quickly and decisively, and we were under contract within hours. Navigating the greater DC real estate market is challenging enough and when the time comes, home buyers need an experienced professional to compete for the best homes and ensure their bids stand out among the rest. We felt that Liz did exactly that and put us in the best position possible to close on our new home. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience working with Liz and we plan to continue our relationship with her moving forward.
We have nothing but praise for Liz and her team. We are currently living in the second home that Liz helped us secure. Liz's knowledge of neighborhoods, down to the right street, was immeasurably helpful when we first moved to the city. She took the time to understand exactly what we wanted (neighborhood AND house) and worked tirelessly to find it. Liz worked diligently to get us a fair deal on both houses and really pushed us to the forefront in a pool of eligible buyers for the home we live in now. The deal she produced was a dream come true, and we are now living exactly where we want to be. Liz also sold our house, off market, to the first buyers who looked at it. She aided us in pricing and staging it perfectly. The process was seamless. Thank you, Liz, for all of your help. We cannot recommend you enough!!!
I wanted to thank you again for everything. More than anything, I want you to know that at one of the most stressful times of our lives, your knowledge, insight and calm demeanor brought us such comfort. I know that moving is stressful for everyone, but we are living in unusual times that might cause one to question everything. I am so appreciative and look forward to a time when we might be able to have lunch and I can say thank you in person.
Thank you for your help getting us through two negotiations that resulted in all parties being happy with the results. You were really creative in writing our offer for our new home and very thoughtful in the way you negotiated on our behalf during the sale of our old home.
This was a stressful experience that was made much less stressful due to your experience and advice and your proactive communication. In comparison with our previous real estate transactions, it was a piece of cake!
Jaci was also great to work with and was hugely helpful during the close of our purchase when we were dealing with a walk-through situation. She was very professional and made a potentially awkward situation into a non-event.
In short: You guys were awesome. Thank you!
Liz is simply among the best agents in the Washington area. Her expertise in all aspects of the Washington real estate market is unparalleled. My husband and I have hired Liz to represent us in over 15 transactions in the last 20-plus years. She has bought and sold properties for us from Spring Valley to Chevy Chase, Bethesda and Potomac. Multiple properties we have hired Liz to list have sold in a matter of days due to her instincts, her vast network, and her expertise about pricing in the marketplace. Liz’s marketing materials and WFP’s online presence are top-notch, and her sharp negotiating skills and keen instincts will always get the best price for you, whether she is representing you as a buyer or a seller. We would never look to anyone else to represent us in the real estate marketplace.
Liz Shorb is the consummate professional. We are thrilled with her representation of us in the recent sale of our home in Chevy Chase. She knows the market exceedingly well, she knows exactly what it takes to negotiate a great deal, and she has total recall on all the myriad details necessary to get a home sold. Significantly, she is also exceedingly thorough with every aspect of the detailed paperwork required for a strong deal and a great closing. We could not have asked for a more efficient, thoughtful, kind, and effective real estate agent or for a nicer person. She is in fact deceptively nice because she knows how to drive a hard bargain while smiling and never stepping on toes. What a package she is! She is the real deal!!!
We couldn’t have been happier with Liz and the support we received from her team at WFP. After working with another broker/agent for months and a completely frustrating experience, we turned to Liz for help! Within days she helped us sort our priorities, focus our search and find us our home in Bethesda. Her experience and expertise surpassed our expectations as she helped us negotiate the purchase, execute all of the inspections and close in record time. The transaction support was as superb as the home search, and I will recommend Liz to all of my friends and colleagues looking for a home in the Chevy Chase/Bethesda area.
Liz Lavette Shorb has represented us in no less than four real estate transactions in the Chevy Chase area over the past decade. She has a sharp grasp of the local market and is highly sophisticated and creative. She possesses frankly unmatched negotiating skills, has a firm business acumen, and above all is utterly unfazable in the face of any problem. We cannot recommend her more strongly and will never execute a real estate transaction in the Metropolitan area without her by our side.
We can’t thank you enough for totally kicking a** for us on both sides of the river. You far exceeded expectations, and we could not be a smidge happier with how well you managed a nerve-wracking, high- risk, simultaneous sale/buy process. We’ll continue raving about you and recommending you to everyone we know who is considering buying/selling anywhere because they all deserve your expertise, guidance and results.
